Transport options for patients

Posted on:

If you’re finding it difficult to get to your medical appointments, there are several transport services available to help. Some are free or low-cost, and some are volunteer-led – but most require registration in advance.

Good Neighbours CARE

This is often our first recommendation for patients needing transport. Good Neighbours CARE is a volunteer-led service offering support with travel to appointments.

Please note: Patients need to register with them before using the service.
They are also always looking for new volunteer drivers – so if you or someone you know can help, they’d love to hear from you.

Mid Sussex Community Transport

A reliable and friendly transport service, this option is ideal for those who don’t qualify for NHS transport but need affordable help getting to appointments.

There is a small charge, but it is generally less expensive than a taxi.
